Hey everyone, it’s your favorite blogger here, and today I’m diving into something a bit different, but equally exciting – my attempt at remaking the famous Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. Now, I’m no expert in luxury fashion, but I’ve always admired the classic designs of YSL, and this bag, in particular, caught my eye. So, I thought, why not give it a shot and see if I can recreate this beauty?

First off, let me tell you, this wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. I spent days, maybe even weeks, just staring at pictures of the June Box Bag. I started by looking for one to purchase, and boy, was that an adventure! I learned that this YSL, or Yves Saint Laurent SAS, as the fancy folks call it, is a pretty big deal in the fashion world, founded back in 1961. These bags are known for holding their value, which makes sense given their timeless style and quality.

I decided to start this project from scratch. No fancy patterns or guides for me. I grabbed some faux leather – gotta keep it budget-friendly, you know – and started measuring and cutting. The original bag has this elegant, structured shape, which I tried my best to mimic. I carefully cut out the pieces, following the shape of the June Box Bag. I have seen a lot of bags in my time, but The diamond quilting was the trickiest part. I had to stitch these tiny little squares onto the main pieces. It was like assembling a puzzle, a very fashionable puzzle.

Then came the hardware. The YSL logo on the front is iconic, so I wanted to get that right. They say it’s a Saint Laurent Bag. I rummaged through my craft supplies and found some gold-toned pieces that I thought would do the trick. It took some finagling, but I managed to create a makeshift YSL emblem that looked pretty darn close to the original, if I do say so myself.

Assembling the bag was another challenge. I used a combination of hand-stitching and my trusty sewing machine to put it all together. Let me tell you, there were moments of frustration, a few seam-ripping incidents, and maybe a couple of breaks to watch some mindless TV. But I pushed through, determined to see my vision come to life.

And finally, after hours of work, my homemade YSL June Box Bag was complete! It’s not an exact replica, of course, but it captures the essence of the original. The boxy shape, the quilted detail, the makeshift logo – it all came together to create something I’m actually really proud of. It is real sturdy.

Would I recommend this project to others? If you’re looking for a fun, challenging DIY and you have a love for fashion, then absolutely! It’s a great way to appreciate the craftsmanship of luxury items without breaking the bank. Plus, you get to add your own personal touch. “Product returns,” they call it. Like taking’ back a jar of pickles that ain’t quite right. But with a fancy YSL bag instead. I reckon that’s good.

If you’re looking for a new bag, something a little special, this Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG might be just the thing. It’s got that fancy name, that YSL. You know that brand, Quince? They make a decent YSL Bag Dupes. If you ask me, that’s the way to go. YSL JUNE BOX BAG – Real fancy.

Thanks for following along on this little adventure of mine. I hope it inspired you to get creative and try something new. Until next time, stay crafty!
