I heard that many people want that green Rolex watch, the one they call Submariner. My grandson, he’s always on that computer, he told me it’s a real fancy thing. Costs more than my old tractor! But you know, folks these days, they want what they want. And if they want that green watch, they gonna find a way to get it. Now, I ain’t saying it’s right, but there’s lots of them, look just like the real deal, but cheaper. They call them high imitation, I think.
My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but even I can see, some of these fake Rolex Submariner watches, they look pretty darn close. I heard they even use good stuff to make ’em, like that shiny metal, what’s it called… stainless steel? Yeah, that’s it. And some kind of fancy glass. But you gotta be careful. Some are just junk, plain and simple.
They say you gotta look close, real close. See how heavy it feels. The real ones, they got some weight to ’em. Like a good, solid hammer. If it feels like a toy, then it probably is a toy. And them little markings, the numbers and such, they gotta be just right. Not all sloppy like my handwriting after I’ve been shucking corn all day.
Now, that Rolex Submariner Green, it’s a popular one. I saw a picture once, bright green, like a field of spring grass. They call it the Hulk, like that angry green fella on the TV. This Hulk one, it’s bigger than the other green one, Kermit or something. It’s green all over, that Hulk, not just the edge part. More green for your money, I guess!
But here’s the thing, if you want the real Rolex Submariner, that green one, or even the regular black one, you gotta wait. My grandson, he says sometimes it takes two years! Two whole years! Can you believe it? Back in my day, if you wanted something, you went to the store and bought it. None of this waiting around business. But these young folks, they got patience, I guess. Or maybe they just find those fake ones quicker.
I don’t know much about these things. I’m more of a “how much milk did Bessie give today” kind of person. But I see folks going on about finding sellers and such. I hear these fake Rolex watches are everywhere now. They call it a network. Like that fishing net my husband used to use, but instead of fish, it’s full of watches.

- Good ones use that stainless steel.
- And some fancy glass, I forget the name.
- Check how heavy it feels.
- And them little numbers, they gotta be neat.
You young people, always wanting the newest thing. Remember when them automatic watches was all the rage? It is like that watch, but it’s not from the same people. I guess it’s like comparing my homemade apple pie to that store-bought stuff. They both fill you up, but one just tastes a whole lot better, you know? It is not that expensive, but a good watch, anyway.
I don’t know why these kids want a fake Rolex. I say if you are gonna buy it, you need to buy the real one. But, that’s just me. Like that green watch, Rolex Submariner Green. They will wait two years for the real one.
Now, where was I? Oh yeah, these high imitation Rolex Submariner Green watches. They’re everywhere. You can probably find one down at the market, next to Mildred’s prize-winning zucchini. Just be careful, you hear? Don’t go spending your hard-earned money on something that’s gonna fall apart faster than a scarecrow in a hurricane.
Just remember what old Bess always says: “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” Especially when it comes to those fancy Rolex Submariner watches. You stick to that, and you’ll be alright. Or at least get a good imitation watch instead of the real thing. The real ones are too expensive.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They don’t lay fancy watches, but their eggs make a mighty fine omelet. And that’s something you can always count on, unlike them high imitation Rolex Submariner watches, I reckon. You might think they are good, but they are not as good as the real Rolex.
