Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG Original order, Get the Look for Less!

Alright, so the other day, I decided to get my hands dirty and try to remake that fancy YSL June Box Bag. You know, the one they call the “original order.” It looked like a fun project, and I thought, why not give it a shot?

First off, I had to gather all my materials. This bag, it’s made of quilted lambskin. Sounds fancy, right? Like a sheep went and got itself a designer coat. I managed to find some nice leather that looked pretty close to the real deal. It wasn’t cheap, but I wanted to do this right.

Then came the tricky part – figuring out the pattern. I spent hours looking at pictures of the June Box Bag, trying to understand how it was put together. It’s got this flap and a shiny “Cassandre” closure. They call it “Cassandre” like it’s some kind of a secret code or something. Anyway, I sketched out the pieces, making sure I got the sizes right. This was like putting together a puzzle, except if you mess up the puzzle, you don’t get a fancy bag at the end.

  • Cut the leather: This was nerve-wracking! I used my rotary cutter and a ruler, trying to make nice, clean lines. One wrong move and you’ve got a wonky piece of leather.
  • Sew the pieces together: This is where my trusty sewing machine came in handy. I carefully stitched the pieces together, following the pattern I’d drawn. I had to make sure the seams were straight and strong, or else the whole thing would fall apart.
  • Add the quilting: This was the fun part. I marked out the quilting pattern on the leather and then used my sewing machine to create the quilted effect. It’s like drawing with thread, but way more complicated.

After that, I had to attach the hardware. This bag has a few metal pieces, including that shiny Cassandre closure. Attaching it was a bit nerve-wracking, but I managed to get it on there nice and secure. I used some special tools to make sure it was properly attached and wouldn’t fall off.

Finally, after hours of work, lots of thread, and maybe a few accidental needle pricks, I had my very own homemade YSL June Box Bag. It wasn’t perfect, of course. There were a few little imperfections here and there, but I was pretty proud of it. It looked pretty darn close to the real thing, if I do say so myself.

Now, I’m not saying you should go out and make your own designer bag. But it was a fun project, and it taught me a lot about how these fancy things are made. And you know what? It’s not just a bag. It’s a reminder that I can make something beautiful with my own two hands. If you want to have a try, just do it.

Thinkin’ ’bout gettin’ one of them fancy bags?

This YSL June Box Bag, it’s a nice bag, sure. But it’s just a bag. There are other ways to get a nice bag without emptying your whole pocketbook. You could try a used one, or a sale, or maybe something that just looks like the real deal. Or even a trip to Paris, they say it’s cheaper there. This YSL JUNE BOX BAG, it’s just a remake, they took somethin’ old and made it new again. But remember, keep them clean and don’t scratch them. They say there is another bag, “Loulou”. Sounds like a right proper name, Loulou, this June Box thing, though.
