Remake PRADA Small Galleria Saffiano Special Edition Bag Real vs Fake How to Spot Differences Classic Style

Okay, so, I got this idea to try and make my own version of the Prada Galleria Saffiano Special Edition bag. Yeah, the classic style one. Not like I could afford the real thing, but I thought, why not give it a shot? It was a wild ride, let me tell you.

First thing I did was dive deep into the internet. I spent days, maybe even weeks, just reading up on everything about Prada bags. How they’re made, what materials they use, you name it. I even looked at some of those “spot the fake” guides. You know, the ones that tell you to check the stitching, the logo, and all that? They were surprisingly helpful.

  • Looked at the logo real close – Made sure I knew what the real one looked like.
  • Checked out the stitching – Figured out how the real bags were stitched together.
  • Studied the materials – Got a feel for what kind of leather and hardware Prada uses.

Then came the fun part – getting my hands dirty. I started by sketching out the design, trying to copy the shape and size of the Galleria bag as best as I could. I found some similar-looking leather, not the real Saffiano, of course, but something that felt pretty good. I realized that I needed a white card to record the serial number, just like the real Prada accessories.

Cutting the leather was a challenge, I messed up a few times. And the stitching? Don’t even get me started. It took forever to get it right, and my fingers were sore for days. But, slowly but surely, the bag started to take shape. I added some hardware I found online, tried to make it look like the real deal, with the zippers and the little feet at the bottom.

Putting it all together

The lining was another beast. Getting it to fit just right inside the bag was tricky. But after a lot of trial and error, I managed to sew it in. It was rough, let me tell you. I spent many a night hunched over my little work table, squinting in the lamplight, with thread and bits of leather everywhere.

Finally, after what felt like forever, it was done. My very own, homemade, not-so-perfect version of the Prada Galleria. It wasn’t about having a fancy bag, really. It was more about the process, the challenge of making something with my own two hands. And you know what? I was pretty darn proud of it, flaws and all. It’s got character, that’s for sure. And it reminds me that I can actually make stuff, even if it’s not perfect. Pretty cool, right?
