Getting the shape right was a bit of a challenge. I mean, this thing is 9.24mm thick, not too bulky, just right. I used some tools I had lying around, did a lot of filing and polishing, and you know what? It started to resemble the real deal.
Next up, the dial. This is where things got tricky. The Calatrava’s dial is so clean, so minimalist. I found a plain white dial that was pretty close to the original. The hands, though, those were a pain. I managed to find some that were kinda similar, but not perfect. Had to do a bit of tweaking to get them to fit and look somewhat decent.
