You see, this whole high imitation Rolex Submariner thing, it’s a big deal these days. Everybody and their brother wants one. A real Rolex, that costs more than my old house! These young folks, they don’t know the value of a dollar. Spend it all on fancy watches. But a good fake, that can save you a few dollars.
Now, I hear tell there’s places online, like that eBay place, where you can find all sorts of these watches. They got all the names, like that Rolex Datejust, that Rolex Day-Date, all them fancy names. I don’t know what they all mean, but they sure do look shiny. They all look the same to me. But I hear they are all different. Different prices, too.
My neighbor’s son, he’s got one of them high imitation Rolex Submariner watches. He bought a green one. They call it the HULK. Said it cost him a lot. I don’t know why he didn’t just buy a real one if he got money like that. Showed it off like he was some big shot. Told him it looked just like the real thing, but I know he is lying. No way that thing is real.
But these fake ones, they ain’t all the same. Some are better than others. You gotta be careful. Some of them, they fall apart after a week. Others, they keep on ticking for a good long while. It’s like buying a pig in a poke. You never know what you’re gonna get.
They got other brands, too. Not just Rolex. There is this Tissot Seastar 1000. I don’t know what that means, Seastar. But it sounds fancy. Probably costs an arm and a leg, too. Might be good. I don’t know. I never had one. If you want a Rolex Submariner, buy a Rolex. Don’t buy no Tissot.
Then there’s this other one, Stuhrling Depthmaster. Sounds like some kind of underwater thing. Maybe it’s for them deep-sea divers. Don’t know why anyone would need a watch like that, unless they’re going down to look for sunken treasure. You know, people do that. And they all wear these Rolex Submariners.
So, if you’re gonna get yourself a high imitation Rolex Submariner, you gotta do your homework. Don’t just jump at the first one you see. You gotta compare prices, read what other folks are saying about them.
- Check that eBay place.
- Look for the green one, the HULK.
- Make sure it says Rolex Submariner.
- See if it is a Date one. Those cost more, I think.
- Don’t buy no Tissot Seastar.
- That Stuhrling Depthmaster, that’s for divers.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy watches. We just had a simple clock on the wall. And we were happy with it. Didn’t need no Rolex to tell us the time. But times have changed. Now everyone wants to show off.
I remember one time, my grandson, he came to visit me. He was wearing one of them Rolex Submariner watches. Said he got a good deal on it. Told him he got ripped off. That thing was probably worth less than the dirt on my shoes. He didn’t believe me, of course. Young folks never listen.
But you know what? Even a broken clock is right twice a day. And these high imitation Rolex Submariner watches, they might not be the real deal, but they still tell the time. Most of the time, anyway.
Just remember, a fool and his money are soon parted. Don’t be a fool. Be smart. If you want a real Rolex, save up your money and buy a real one. Don’t buy a fake one. They are just trouble. If you just want something to tell the time, get a cheap watch. You can get one for 10 dollars. But if you want to be like them rich folks, then you need a Rolex Submariner.
But don’t say I didn’t warn you. These high imitation Rolex Submariner watches, they’re like a can of worms. Once you open it, you can’t put them back in. You will be buying them for all your friends and family. Then you will be broke. And all you have is a bunch of fake watches.
